Robert C. Brehm, 89, of Elyria passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center, following a brief illness. He was born November 14, 1925 in Delaware, Ohio.

Robert retired from The Ridge Tool Co. with over 40 years of service. He was a member of The Elyria United Polish Club for 69 years. Robert enjoyed watching baseball, working in his garden, motor home camping and playing horseshoes.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Thelma B. (nee Haun); daughters, Barbara F. Mencini (Jack) of Aurora, Ohio, Susan M. Brehm of Amherst, Roberta A. Williams (Keith) of Hoschton, Georgia, Amy G. Larson (David) of Oberlin; additional survivors include 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; step-children; sisters, Rita Gardner of Florida, Patricia Freeman of Texas; brothers, William (Ida) of Missouri, Charles (Illah) of Missouri, Patrick (Francine) of Pennsylvania.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Hilda (nee Wood) Brehm; sister, Carol Marlene Foos and a brother, Jack.

A Celebration of Robert’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015 in the A-Frame at Resthaven Memory Gardens, 3700 Center Rd. (State Rt. 83), Avon, where the family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until time of services at 11 a.m. (please meet at the cemetery). The family suggests memorial contributions to the charity of the donor’s choice.
