Mont L. Fry, 76, RD 1, Greenwich, died at Samaritan Hospital Wednesday afternoon following a lingering illness.

The sone of George and Mae Sisson Fry, he was born Aug. 4, 1902, in Ashland County. He was a lifelong county resident and farmer.

Mr. Fry married Mary Leona, who preceded him in death in 1976. He was also preceded in death by one son, Virgil.

Surviving are one foster son, Earl Fry of Ashland; one daughter, Tillie Otterbacher of Florida; three grandchildren, 13 foster grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one sister, Bernice Markel of Wellington; and one brother, Jack of Ashland.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Heyl Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Ashland County Memorial Park.

Friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
