Mary Leona Fry, 70, of RD 1, Greenwich, died at Samaritan Hospital early this morning following a short illness.

She was born Sept. 18, 1906, in Joplin, Mo., and had been an area resident most of her life.

Surviving are her husband, Mont; one son, Virgil of Greenwich; one foster son, Earl Fry of Ashland; one foster daughter, Mrs. Tillie Otterbacher of Orlando, Fla.; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, John Olin Nelson of Ashland; and three sisters, Mrs. Ora Briggs of Benton Harbor, Mich., Mrs. Alice Biggs of Hayesville and Mrs. Josephine Coffman of Ashland.

Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Heyl Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ashland County Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
