Doris SamplesDoris Samples, 66, of Orange Park, Fla., formerly of Bellington W. Va., died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001. Mrs. Samples was born Dec. 13, 1934, in Nankin, the daughter of Jack and Louella Marie Fry. Mrs. Samples is survived by her husband, Ray Samples; six children, Lori Samples-Wimberly of Forney, Texas, Susan Scott of San Angelo, Texas, Mark Samples of Parkersburg, W. Va., John Samples of Belington, W. Va., Time Samples of Wintersville and Mary Thompson of Saint Mary's Ga.; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her stepmother, Betty Fry Miller; and brothers and sisters, Edna Bellato (sic) of Youngstown, Til Otterbacher of Apopka, Fla., Early Fry of Gray, Tenn., Wally Fry, Mary Carman, Vicky Forbush, Jean Kopp, Diane Wires, Cathy Kennel, Jack Fry, Jim Knowlton, Randy Knolton, Nancy Griffith and Tim Knowlton, Carl and Wayne Fry all of Ohio, Marie Kemp and Gail Martin, New York, and Bonnie Willis of N.C. Mrs. Samples was preceded in death by her grandfather George Benton Fry, who raised her from childhood. Mrs. Samples was cremated.
