Bernice Markel

Bernice Markel of Wellington, died in Elms Convalescent Home in Wellington, after a five-year illness.

She was born in Ashland March 9, 1904.

Surviving are two sons, Rolland of Wellington and George of Lagrange; three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Betty) Bonewit of Wellington; Mrs. Thornton (Lona Mae) Paugh of West Virginia and Mrs. Robie (Anna) Kimbler of Wellington; 31 grand children; many great grandchildren and one brother, Jack Fry of Nova.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar in 1971 and one daughter Evelyn Biggs, 1977.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Cowling Truman Funeral Home in Wellington, conducted by the Rev. Gene Collins. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Wellington.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home in Wellington.
